Broad Perspective, Clear Advice, Focused Skills
Mark H. Kolman
Mark Kolman is a retired attorney who now works as a professional mediator and expert witness with respect to complex trials. After forty-three years trying hundreds of cases, he understands that trial is sometimes necessary, but often, mediation is a more efficient and less costly option for obtaining a final resolution of a dispute. Mediation can be accomplished before discovery costs are incurred, or after, but will always save the parties the cost and time consumed by trials that often don’t end the litigation.
Mark Kolman is available for mediations and arbitrations of commercial litigation matters. In March 2013, Mr. Kolman retired from his partnership in the Insurance Coverage Practice at Dickstein Shapiro LLP, in Washington, D.C., Mr. Kolman has been a trial lawyer for more than 43 years, starting as a state and federal prosecutor in Baltimore, Maryland, and has first-chaired more than 150 jury trials and over 1,000 contested cases.
